Brian Matthews
CEO, River City Internet Group
Brian Matthews is CEO of River City Internet Group. He was first CEO
of Primary Network from its founding in 1995 until it was sold to MPower
Communications in 2000. Brian is also an owner and director of CDM Fantasy
Sports, CDM Properties, a real estate venture. In 1997, he was recognized
by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the publication's "40" Under
"40" business persons. In 1999, Brian and Primary Network received the
award as #1 Fastest Growing Technology Company in St. Louis and was
named #22 on Deloitte & Touche's Nationwide Fast 500. In 2000, he was
recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the St. Louis Business Journal
and "100 Business People Leading Us Into the New Millennium" by Deloitte
& Touche. Brian has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Peter Esparrago
Manager, River City Internet Group
Peter Esparrago has over 20 years of global information technology experience
in various industries, including the communications vertical. Peter
is also President & CEO for IntraISP, a billing and business management
software-as-a-service company for communications service providers.
Peter spent 16 years at Accenture where he was a Partner. His responsibilities
at Accenture included selling/managing numerous global CRM/ERP/e-commerce/outsourcing
engagements, starting up on-shore and off-shore solution centers, and
Software-as-a-Service thought leader. Peter also was the COO for Ariel
Research, a global leader in EH&S content, software, and outsourcing.
As COO, he helped grow and sell the company. He is a member of St. Louis
Arch Angels, an angel investing group. Peter has an MBA in Finance from
Rockhurst College and a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of
Missouri-Columbia.
Steve Szachta
COO, Hostirian
Steve Szachta is Chief Operating Officer of Hostirian. Steve brings
years of enterprise Web hosting experience to River City Internet Group,
and has been with Hostirian since its inception in 2001 and led its
growth into profitability. He previously served as a Web Hosting Regional
Subject Matter Expert (RSME) for PSINet. He served as the Director of
Web Hosting for Primary Network from 1997 through 1999. Steve also taught
high school Computer Programming for 23 years. Steve received his undergraduate
degree in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University and attended
graduate school at Liberty University.
Trey Goede
Executive VP of Sales and Marketing, Primary Network
Trey Goede is Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Primary
Network. He heads the experienced sales teams of Primary Network. In
1999, Trey was recognized by Fast Forward/St. Louis Business Journal
as one of the publications's "30 under 30" business persons. He was
a founding member of Upstart Technology, recently merged into Technology
Gateway/Regional Commerce and Growth Association. He also has served
on Missouri Governor Bob Holden's Information Technology Roundtable
Committee. Trey also was co-founder and CEO of Primary Click. From there,
he joined Primary Network, moving up to Vice President of Sales. Trey
holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Boston College in Marketing
and Business Operations and Strategic Management.
Stephen Durr
Controller, River City Internet Group
Stephen Durr is the Controller of River City Internet Group. He brings
years of public accounting experience along with seven more years of
managerial industry experience to River City Internet Group. He spent
his earlier career in public accounting at BDO Seidman, LLP. He also
was a controller position at a manufacturing / packaging company before
moving to CDM/Primary Network in 1999 and has been with River City Internet
Group since its inception in 2001. Stephen has received his Bachelor's
and Master's degree in accounting at the University of Missouri-Columbia
and also served as a graduate instructor in accounting at the University
for a year. He is also a licensed C.P.A. in the state of Missouri.
